[rant on]

Since Forum id-3 --- the first postable forum, and my private messages box, as well --- is completely screwed by SpamBots because someone at ResellOne won't take the time to secure the forums, I'll be posting this little rant here.

Every single time I've had to fund my account, it's an issue. My primary funding when the account was started was an issue, and it's been an issue ever since. Sure, we can go to the "undocumented" payment page and make a payment, however, even Mastercard Secure Code and Verified By Visa have issues with every single card I own --- most, being issued by banks such as Suntrust, PayPal, etc. are not supported, and return, "Invalid card number" when attempting to sign up. Now, I realize that this isn't ResellOne's issue, but their dependence on it *is*.

The second issue I have is attempting to reach *anyone* at ResellOne by telephone. It just doesn't happen without a minimum of three hours on the telephone, whereby someone in Management says, "What was their name? We need to train them better!" Of course! Because this issue has only gotten *worse* since EV1 was taken over by ThePlanet.

And even still, once I do reach someone at ResellOne, they'd ask me to do idiotic things like send my credit card information through Email. My last experience was so poor, in fact, due to the poor, demanding, know-it-all attitude of a particular RS rep that I was ready, in fact, to drive down there. To quell the urge, I had six strong shots and fired back an equally smart-ass e-mail, which was probably a bad move on my part.

(Yeah, that and the subsequent phone conversation were *exactly* the kind of thing that gets a blogitude.com Asshat of the Day award!)

But seriously, seriously, no thanks, and yes, I'd like fries with that.

[/rant off]

This is *really* getting annoying, and these issues have greatly factored in to why we use ResellOne so little. Add to it the multiple technical issues, the inability to import data into a useful format, etc. etc. etc.

I have a pressing need right now to fund my account. And, of course, I can't, until normal business hours...

So my big question is ... When is ResellOne going to fix in-panel funding and avoid these sorts of issues?

Actually, I take it back. It's beyond "getting" annoying. Now it's just annoying, simple as that.

Well I know the issues with payment is or has been a pain in the ass but we use suntrust bank card and it is supported by Secure Code we just had to call suntrust and have it set up thats all.

Anyways hope you can get this issue resolved soon. :o

Not mine. It's a legacy NBC account, so Suntrust is wholly unhelpful.

This is the wierd thing about secure code -- it seems very poorly implemented by mastercard and/or their individual cc companies. On mine, I had secure code active and available on my MBNA account, but then Bank of America took them over. What resulted was that now Bank of America says they can't provide secure code on my existing account that had it before, but they could provide secure code if I signed up for an additional new card... It makes absolutely no sense to me how a credit card company somehow is unable to provide secure code for some accounts. Seems to be a giant glitch in the securecode program.

It's pretty much the same with Verified By Visa. Completely arbitrary. The only difference, really, is that SecureCode requires the additional PITA of the customer looking up their individual card issuer, while VBV does it automagically --- if it works.

We have been fighting to get Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure Code taken off of the systems for quite some time now. We have received a lot of promises to have it done but it has yet to materialize. A good number of problems the Resellone staff has faced is the direct result of the merger but we have made some headway. We are in the testing phase of automation for the billing system. There are other projects on the way but that one was seen as the most pressing.

I will see about getting more input on the removal of the Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure Code programs next week.

Thank you,
Eddie P.

I went to the cinema last sunday 4th October and paid for the tickets using my debit card. The money has still not come out of my bank account. Ive never known it to take this long to clear, payments usually take around 2 or 3 days to come out. Ive checked the receipt and it says pin verified and the amount that will be debited. Is this normal?
