View Full Version : Bulk Transfer Possible Without Programming Skills?

After many delays, I am finally getting organized to transfer my pretty huge personal portfolio of domains over to RS1.
Laurie has already been great in sorting out a credit card problem I had, now I'm just waiting for Support to get back to me on a problem I'm having accessing the account I originally setup but for which I never completed the registration process.
In the meantime, I've been looking at the various PDF guides here and just want to double-check that I will actually be able to do what I need to do:
Intially, I just want to transfer over my own domains, with reselling coming at a later date when someone offers an API integration service here.
I'm hoping to start by paying a load of money into my account and, then, bulk transfer my domains into it. I realize this is probably a stupid question but, just to be 100% sure, bulk transfer is available, right?
Also, I am particularly anxious that, during the transfer, the contact details and name-server settings will be left exactly as they are.
I have no programming skills but was hoping that, like the old EV1 service, there would a Web accessible domain management interface which I could use to control all of my domains. One of the PDFs seem to suggest that there is such an interface, allowing the bulk control of domains. Is that the RWI? The screenshots in the PDF guide seem to indicate a fairly flexible system, better than the EV1 one where you ended up having to process hundreds of domains by hand. Is everyone happy with it?
I very much appreciate any and all advice,
Donnacha

There isn't a bulk transfer option in the RWI. There is an option for bulk orders, but that only works for new registrations.
Even through the API, bulk transfers only work for .com and .net domains and require you (if I'm reading it correctly) to submit one request per customer, as the system will link all of the domains into one profile.

If you would like us to process bulk transfers for you, please email support@resellone.net and we will send you specific instructions. Bulk transfers are not an option that is currently available through the system. If the domains need to be in individual profiles then they do have to be done one at a time.
The EU domain management panel is located at: https://resellers.resellone.net/manage/
During transfers unless you indicate otherwise in the order the nameservers and contact information will not be changed.
As far as your issue accessing your account, I will be looking into it today and getting back with you directly.

Hello,
Within your management panel (RWI1) there is an option to "Place Bulk Order Manually". When you click on that link, the form that is given will be self explanatory, but I'll be more than happy to answer any questions in a walk through phone call if need be.
Thanks!

So Laurie are you saying that the OpenSRS batch transfer system will not work with ReSellOne?
I ran a few test and it seemed to work ok as for giveing me the error that the domains already exists in our account (this to me would suggest that it would work if the domains were not registered to us already).
Or are you just saying that ReSellOne interface has no batch transfer system set up in its self?
I have found that all the other OpenSRS scripts work quite well once configured right ......... :)

Hello,
Actually, you are correct. I apologize for the oversight. There is no bulk transfer option.
Thanks,

I posted a How-To here on the forum http://forums.resellone.net/showthread.php?p=1095#post1095
Just read the whole post and contact me if there is anything I can do to help out.
Once installed you will have to go to:
http://www.example.com/cgi-bin/reg_system.cgi?action=bulk_transfer
You can find documentation here http://documentation.tucows.com/opensrs_rcl.pdf
Good luck,
JamesC

Got all the Bulk Domains rejected :-(
It had "Waiting for OpenSRS Review" then "Rejected" after about 30 mins.
