Hello,
I am wondering if it is possible for resellone resellers to receive invoices by post? or in pdf form?
Not for every transaction but for payments we make to resellone.
Thanks,
Evren

Second this request... this would definitely make my bookkeeper happy. :)
(Of course, so would losing the VbV/SecureCode requirement, but one battle at a time...)

The invoice is emailed when you make a payment and it is posted in your account, you can then put it into any kind of form that you choose.

Laurie,
All I get right now off of the online payment form is this:
Thank you for your payment of 100. The amount will be credited
to your ResellOne reseller account.
Reseller username:
Payment amount: 100
Confirmation Number: C563That's not much of an invoice, certainly not to IRS standards. And there's nothing e-mailed when the funds are actually posted to my account, either, unless something's broken somewhere.

Okay I will do some testing in the morning and see what I can come up with.

Also we need a proper invoice, we might get into trouble with this kind of invoices in EU.

I am investigating this issue, and have had to escalate it to my technical advisors, I will update again as soon as I have some information.

I'm exactly in the same situation as you, legal invoices are required by tax agencies.
I was considering joining resellone, but it's impossible to do it without invoices.
I resell server with ThePlanet, and i always get an invoice for all my orders, couldn't realize that ResellOne doesn't give invoices, luckily i found this thread

Any news about this, a year and a half after?

Hi,
Print yourself an "R1" invoice ... your European agent of the tax department will not control in the USA if R1 make or not this invoice...

Resellone should be moving over to the same billing system that is used by the Planet as a whole. I wish I could say that this would be some time soon but all I know is that the plans are in the works. I believe that EU compliant invoicing is possible through this system already. At the moment invoicing would be reduced to specific deposit amounts.

While nothing new has arisen I do want to say that we have a development project going through sometime in the next few months. Invoicing is one of the things that we put on that project list.

Could you provide me with some kind of officially recognized source were I can dig the EU specificities up at please. I would appreciate that a great deal, that way I could pass that upstairs.

I hope this helps, if you need to know anything else just let me know and I'll ask my accountant.
Hi all,
Why you want that R1 invoices with European rules? It's an american company...
When one buys in another country one must accept his rules. American invoices are with American's rules, like German invoices are with German's rules.

Well now I see where Eddie and Aamir are going with this special support stuff.
RS1 never offered special invoices as part of the services offered so I would think to get this sort of invoice, extra work on their part would be needed.
Thus a small monthly fee seems resonable to get it after all the staff would have to put in extra time to create such invoices.

A quick search on google came up with these pages : expatax.nl/regulationsinvoice.htm and flakey.info/finance/eurovat/
Here is a list of what is needed

It may, I am not going to be the one specifically putting togeather the forms but rather it would be something I will be passing over to the billing department guys. One of the things that would be going through in the next several months is the integration of the billing system to the main Planet billing system which is good because that means that billing issues will be streamlined and handled by people that are already well versed in a lot of these procedures in the first place.

As far as I understand it this is not even really necessary. As I understand it VAT is an indirect form of taxation, and levied against consumables both produced and consumed within ones own nation. However, as I am not from a nation that places a value added tax on such products as domain names or SSL certificates I am by no means fluent with the subject. If a Reseller wants invoices to be delivered in a specific manner then now is the time to look into it. If it makes easier to get people into the right place so that they can use the system then so be it.

Possibly, but thats not really how I envision this playing out. I really think that this is more of a situation were we have another feature that can be added to the Dev Project list and have invoices automatically spit out in a specified format chosen by the reseller or maybe even retroactively applied to the account by billing. That is of course assuming that the VAT numbers and what not are even applicable to this situation, which I am not entirely sure that they are.
I know I am starting to sound like a broken record when I talk about the changes coming soon but I am really excited about this. Its been two years in the wilderness so to speak and its taken a lot to get to this point and I am looking forward to getting to the point were there is some actual, concrete, visible evidence of improvements to the system, instead of just behind the scenes stuff that isn't viewable by the client.

I was hoping that it would have already happened by now but we are making some headway. After beating our heads against the hall for the last year and talking to everyone in the company I could find about the project we are getting to meet with one of the head Marketing guys next week. This is not anything definite, I can't really give details on whats going to be discussed because I won't be in the meeting myself but I am looking forward to it none the less.
Some time ago we had proposed an Orbit integration and the beginnings of that project were begun but it hasn't completed yet. Once the Orbit integration has been completed you will be able to handle everything via Orbit. That includes not just ticketing, but billing and account management as well.

Well Eddie this sounds like good news .. :)
Will those of us that do not have Orbit now be able to use this system too?
