Anyone thought how to build a backordering system using this API ?

I was wondering... resellone.net will ban me if I will query and try to register every minute and so like 10 domains at once ? :)

Also, how I can find out using API when a domain will expire ? I was looking at whois info but I couldn't find a perfect format... so I was wondering maybe the API can give me pretty simple expire date or something like that...
Any idea ?

I don't have a suggestion regarding the backordering issue. When domains are about to expire, and email is sent to the admin contact for that domains. This is starting at 90 days prior to expiration, which should be plenty of notice to process the renewal.

Laurie, you are talking about domains registered with R1, however "devo" is talking about re-registering EXPIRED domain from ANOTHER registrar.

We had such situation today. Client has domain which expired about 70 days ago and it should be available today, however it become available yesterday and someone re-registered it.

If we would have the ability to query API for domain registration say from 73rd day to 75th day we wouldn't loose domain and got another client (now he is just leave)...
