Hello,

I've been directed here from the live chat on ev1servers. I ordered a QuickSSL certificate from there on 12/30/2006 3:34:29AM. (Invoice# SSLPID21182)

I'm still waiting on the invite email to complete the order.

The process seems to have changed slightly since I used ev1 last as the emails used to come through immediately.

Can someone please help me get this certificate purchase completed. I've also sent an email to the 24/7 helpdesk via ssl@ev1servers.net but haven't heard anything (not even an automated reply).

I'm pleased to say that this order has been finalised via live chat. It wasn't an enjoyable process by any means but it's over and the certificate has been installed.

After this experience I will be looking for an alternative supplier. The lack of timely support is just not accept.

Hello,

I do apologize for the lack of quick support on that issue, but please remember that this is Holiday time, and most companies do not remain open around this time. If they do, most have their hours reduced and skeleton crews are instituted for the time being. We are no exception at this time.

Aamir,

There was no mention on your website, nor during my live chat conversations that you were on reduced trading hours. Every other company we deal with that was taking time off had posted notices for their customers to read.

I should also mention here that I did get a reply to my original email but it wasn't useful either and stated that the CSR was invalid. I know that this isn't the case because after the live chat I completed the order and have since installed the certificate.

Somewhere along the process your system has made an error. The only area that went smoothly was the charge to our credit card.

Hello,

I certainly cannot deny that we've had problems over the holidays with our SSL certificate order process. That is partially us and partially GeoTrust systems. Keep in mind that some of the cause may be the selling of GeoTrust to Verisign. Although Verisign is a completely reputable company and has been a great partner for us, anytime you have a change-over of that size, problems most likely will crop up. Multiple partners have been going through this. I apologize for it, and I can only ask that you bear with us.

As for the posting of Holiday hours - you are right. In the future, we will look to clearly state that to avoid just such confusion.
