There's nothing stopping you not registering his domain or processing his order until you've been paid or a cheque has cleared

You can process orders manually through resellone if needed?

I assume there are lots of us doing registrations like this -- I bundle domain registration with hosting and then send one annual invoice to regular and local clients for their hosting and domains and any other annual services they maintain.
