Hi All;
I already know not to expect much in the way of service from Resellone.. in fact, I've been awaiting reply for simple questions for ages... BUT, if their multi-year SSL rates are decent enough it still might be worth my while to sign up. But, I can't find them listed anywhere, and I refuse to go through their sign-up hoops until I know.
So... I've got the first year rates for RapidSSL/QuickSSL/QuickSSL Premium... could somebody tell me what the 2yr/3yr/etc rates are?? Or are they the same as the first year?
Thanks, Neil

We keep being told that things will get better so just keep sending emails ..... maybe call one of the TP numbers you may get lucky.

Yes, I did see that post.
You mean to tell me that even this much time later they haven't deal with such a basic issue?
Unbelievable.

Nice to know.
Related questions;
a) RapidSSL rates - include or don't include the insurance? If not, is the insurance available and at what additional yearly price?
b) Securing multiple servers - I've noticed that even on TP's sign-up form they don't offer an option to select how many servers you'd like to secure. Are we able to place orders to secure more than 1 server or not?
Thanks,
Neil

A) No, insurance is not included and cannot be included for RapidSSL certificates. However, this can and is included (as re-issuance) for QuickSSL and PremiumSSL certificates (no additional price).
B) I am contacting our server sales team to obtain the correct information for this question. Apologies for the delay.

When you use the phrase: "Are we able to place orders to secure more than 1 server or not?" Do you mean are you able to place order to purchase more than 1 server or not or does "secure" refer to some type of component available for order via the website that has to do with security? (example: A firewall).
I'm pretty sure you simply mean purchase, but I want to be as sure as possible.
Thanks!

It's Alive........
I am thinking the latter is actually QuickSSL Premium / Yr?

No, it refers to the ability to place an order for more than 1 SSL cert license at a time. To select "1", "2", "7", etc. for those who have more than 1 server on which the SSL needs to be installed.
I've noticed that even on your own customer sign-up pages (non-reseller) you don't offer this basic option, so I just want to make sure that it's not disabled for resellers as well.
Using GeoTrust terms, for example, we might (and often do) receive a 9 unit order. Nine "units" would show on the order form as 3 servers X 3 years and (based on your pricing) would would be billed (for Quick Basic) as 3 x $37 + $37 + $37 (if I am understanding your "per year" structure correctly).
But, again, this basic quantity function doesn't even appear on TP's own retail level sign-up form, so am I to assume that it doesn't appear on the resellers?
Also please confirm;
1) please confirm SIGN-UP method. Quick Invite? If not, what steps (over and above order placement) does our customer need to take during the validation process?
2) Usual GeoTrust competive upgrade?
3) 7-day refund/reissue, or no?
Thanks, Neil

Yeah, well, I guess it's to be expected that they'd provide no further answers here.. took me a month and a half to get a simple question about cost answered, only to eventually be given an answer (via pm) that included the words "going to be effective Tuesday". At no time did I ask what the rates were "going to be", I asked that they confirm what the rates actually were AT THE MOMENT I ASKED.
And this was only one basic question.. out of approximately 40 or so communications to them (each one ignored or bounced)... but, still, even this one was never actually answered, was it?
The prices are decent (although by no means the lowest), but clearly all of the teeth-grinding and hair-pulling they cause makes the actual costs and risks far higher than anyone can actually afford to pass onto their customers.

Unbelievable.. simple questions.
QuickInvite or no?
7-day refund or no?
Competitive upgrades or no?
Without the latter two, the certificates would obviously be substandard garbage and not worth selling to a customer. So, what is it ResellOne.. are these features/options present, or do you expect your resellers to market worthless crap?

Quick Invite - No
7 Day Refund - Yes
Geotrust Competitive Upgrade - Don't know but I am looking into it.
