Domain Lost During Transfer

Hello,

I transferred a domain name from OpenSRS to ResellOne. (We have been doing this as we are resellers with both and this is to save cost).

The transfer was successful and the domain is marked deleted from OpenSRS.
(See the log)

The WHOIS correctly shows one year added and registrar as EV1 see this.

Problem:
ResellOne RWI does to show the domain name and the domain name is dead(does not resolve)

I have contacted ResellOne and so far no luck in ResellOne being able to reinstate this domain which under their custody.

This transfer was initiated and completed after the domain had expired at OpenSRS (17th Oct) but the transfer was allowed and completed!

Please help and the name is listed under ResellOne but stuck somewhere waiting to opened!!

There are many resellers in ResellOne, are you sure that it was transferred to your RWI? Does it show up in whois? Do you see your company info in the whois? (in the part where it shows which reseller has the domain)

This is a very strange case and the first reported problem of this type that I can recall. I received confirmation from our support team this morning that the issue was identified and a solution has likewise been identified, though it may take a day or so to get the fix implemented.

So! Basically there was a glitch of some type in the transfer process (I'm sure our other forum patrollers can agree that this sort of thing is FAR from the norm, I doubt anyone else has ever seen this happen before). The domain name IS safe at ResellOne, but somehow the system was listing the transfer as canceled before it completed and stalled as well. We've had the support team file a ticket to basically turn a cancelled order into a completed one which will return the domain name to normal in your system.

I have been assured that the domain name is associated with your profile although we can't see it, therefore no one can manage/change it (unfortunately that includes you at the moment due to the glitch) but there is no risk that you'll loose the domain to a hijacker or an opportunist for instance.

So the fix is not implemented, but the issue is identified and a solution has been formed and is being worked on.

However, just to illustrate how strange this problem was for fun - and information, I've answered Evren's questions below as I would have originally answered before I received the respose from our support team...

Does it show up in whois?
>> This is the truly strange part... It still shows up in whois @ the previous registrar (which this team manages) so we can confirm that it is no longer there when the registrar profile is queried.

Do you see your company info in the whois? (in the part where it shows which reseller has the domain)
>> As it is still showing up under the previous registrar so that is not applicable here unfortunately.

Highly uncommon, but on it's way to being resolved.

Hi Aamir... SIGH!! THANKS VERY MUCH... look forward to seeing the name in ResellOne soon... I am one of the oldest OpenSRS users and also I am with ResellOne from start... this has never happened to me...

- Yes, that is right WHOIS reflected the transfer correctly and added a year
to it.
- OpenSRS logs showed as transfer way completion
- But the name did not my RWI at ResellOne
